Lovely beer. Beautifully balanced, rich

"Lovely beer. Beautifully balanced, rich classic English ale. Good all year round - not just for winter! We enjoy it with pie and mash or just on its own."

Fullers Old Winter Ale was

"Fullers Old Winter Ale was major find for me, an ales enthusiast. It has that rare combination of richness as well as refreshing with a long, lingering after taste, as well as strong enough to have a bit of a kick. Unlike a lot of Christmas or Winter Ales it is no cloying, not catching the throat and nothing like liquidised Christmas pudding. I can honestly say that is one of the best beers I have ever drunk, along with Abbot Ale as it used to be & the now sadly closed Ringwood beers."

A quality bottled ale that

"A quality bottled ale that has a deep and intense flavour. Apart from being a very quaffable ale I would happily pair this with rich food dishes. Although it is a Winter Ale I would happily drink this beer at any time throughout the year."

Leslie J. (5/5)

slightly too tart in taste

"slightly too tart in taste with limited depth after-taste that i so enjoy of ESB, 1845 & Golden Pride. Only bought as on sale & no 1845 available at time of last order. When are you gong to do something about the hopeless courier service you use in Maidstone area"
