Reviews

Still the best ale I've tasted

"I love Trappist ales and this range of vintage ales is on par with some of my favourites. This one is the 2025 and oddly it tastes better than the 2025 I drank last year; perhaps bottle ageing really works."

Fuller's Vintage Ale 2025 has

"Fuller's Vintage Ale 2025 has an intricate palate of red fruits, citrus, and molasses, with deep raisin and fruitcake notes. When freshly tasted, it exhibits a rich, marmalade-like sweetness and a warming, spicy finish. Compared to the 2023 and 2024 versions, which featured peach and stone-fruit brightness, the 2025 is darker with a more vinous profile. It has a weightier backbone of berries and molasses, making it feel more robust and traditional. This makes it an excellent choice for long-term cellaring. I am eager to see how it evolves over time through bottle-conditioning."

Excellent ale for a special

"Excellent ale for a special occasion. Very strong so one for the holiday at the end of the day. Just needs about half an hour or so in the fridge as I suspect it would lose a lot of its character if served too cold. I will almost certainly buy this again."

Full of flavour

"Fullers have produced an excellent product once again. Their Vintage Ale 2025 is full of flavour and has a really rich taste followed by a long lasting after taste. Get a bottle (or two) while you can!"

A vintage Ale ???

"Not really sure how this can be a vintage ale, its 2025 vuntage Still it came in a box, the label looks really classy, the beer in the bottle looks good But the only way is to drink it, not just knock it back I guess its a beer you have to savoir, just take your time with, enjoy it Do I save this for a special occaision ?"

What an amazing beer from

"What an amazing beer from possibly the best brewery in the country! I understand many people lay bottles down to mature; but, I've yet to resist the temptation to open the bottle. This is a real "treat yourself" beer. I tend to have half a bottle with another beer lover; and then wish I'd polished off the lot myself afterwards!"

"Never had one of your Vintage Ales before so I can't give a year on year comparison. However on a stand alone review I wasn't disappointed, rich, satisfying an ale that screams care and skill. Long story short, class."
