"Deep chestnut brown in colour. On the nose, malty, fruity and sweet. Superb for cooler weather and is great served lightly chilled. Slight spicing on the tongue, dark fruits and biscuity flavour with hoppy bitterness on the back end, good carbonation, sweet caramel on the front end. Superbly balanced ale from Fullers once more."

"This beer is special. Great flavour, on my list for repurchase when I run out. It is rich and full bodied , I can imagine sitting in front of a roaring fire nursing a glass full of this exquisite Winter Ale."
