This is a fine example
"This is a fine example of an imperial stout. Hints of chocolate and a fine darkly roasted coffee welcome the drinker. The powerful 10.7% alcohol is gentle and there is no hint of rawness, which in concert with the stimulating yet comfortable flavours of the ale makes a really drinkable treat. I have a bottle of this beautiful stout which I plan to keep for my 70th birthday, which being only a couple of years time will nonetheless see me drinking a quite different ale - maybe a rich beer for a suitably rich age."

This was an excellent beer.
"This was an excellent beer. I had been drinking ordinary beer, and. then opened this bottle, and the difference was amazing. The dark colour, the deeper flavour, it was amazing! Thank you for making this, I really enjoyed it."

Fuller’s Imperial Stout is a
"Fuller’s Imperial Stout is a rich and warming beer with plenty of character. It pours dark and almost pitch black, with a smooth, creamy head and inviting roasted aromas. The flavour is full-bodied, with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel and a subtle bitterness that balances out the sweetness nicely. There’s a lovely depth to it without becoming overly heavy, and the finish is warming and pleasantly lingering. At 500ml, it’s a beer to take your time over rather than rush. Definitely one for fans of big, dark stouts who enjoy plenty of roasted, chocolatey flavour. A very satisfying bottle from Fuller’s."

Impressive beer: great presence in
"Impressive beer: great presence in the glass, initial toasty, roasted flavours with deeper nuttiness coming through later. Not sweet or cloying. Obviously has that 10% backbone so not a session ale but not offputting (doesn’t hit you over the head and tell you to say thank you). One to sip and savour."
