"Fuller's ESB is an award winning traditional English beer that is a little stronger than most regular ales. It has a dark copper colour and a slight toffee smell. The taste starts off quite sweet, like toasted bread or caramel, but then evolves in to a sharp, dry bitterness. It is a perfect classic ale that is great from the bottle scoring a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars from me."

They have all moved on from the bottled lager ( with a slice of lime ) phase - and now seem to appreciate the superb qualities of ESB ! "A remarkably strong yet drinkable ale with a honey finish - maybe in the winter-warmer class, but on reflection would also still go down nicely on an August bank holiday lightly chilled, so why save it for winter? No coiffard-beard-sporting over-hopping here, this is a true traditional ale, just subtly bitter, and deeply nourishing. Caution though: after a few of these see you have a registered nurse available, just as a precaution, to share it with."
"This has long been a favourite beer of mine and one I always seek out when in London. Sadly it is hard to find on draught in my part of the country (South east Cornwall). The bottled version lacks some of the hop flavours of the draught beer but still rates among my top five bottled ales."
