"Fullers ESB pours a deep red colour,On taking the first sip the classic orange marmalade notes from the Fullers yeast shine through,The hop character is evident throughout with a pleasant but not overpowering bitterness on the palate. This beer has great body and is well balanced. Fullers ESB a true classic."
"I hadn't had any of this for far too long, and now I've got 24 bottles! Very nice indeed. I'm not at all good at saying how whatever beer has a lingering taste of whatever with overtones of whatnot, but this is darkish coppery colour, generous malt, hint of sweet, but not too much, balanced out by hops. It ticks all the boxes, including one marked "absolute satisfaction". To be drunk with a little (!) discretion."
"I am a big fan of HSB, so decided to check out ESB for a change. ESB is richer, darker and stronger than HSB and more of a slow pint. Very enjoyable. Great with a ploughman’s salad with some Stilton, or mature cheddar, if your not a Stilton fan. Will be ordering both ESB and HSB moving forward 🍻"
